Dear parents,
The boys are not in school but at home with their families. It’s a great time to have short interactive speech activities to enjoy with your little ones as part of the Elocution Class.
So let’s start!

Dear students,
As today is the first day of class let’s introduce each other.
What is the meaning of the word "introduce"?
It means to talk about one self.

Read my introduction with the help of your parents.

Hello!
My name is Pooja Guglani.
I am 42 years old.
I teach in St. Columba’s School.

So now it’s time to introduce each other at home with a game.

Instructions to be followed by the parents-

Passing the toy game
1. Three or more family members sit in a circle.
2. Pass the toy from one to the other
3. Each person who gets the toy has to introduce
    himself/ herself.
4. Encourage your child to speak and introduce himself in
    4-5 sentences.
5. Before each person's introduction, this jingle will be
    recited.

Jingle –

Clap your hands,

Click your fingers.

Let’s play a game

And tell our names!

Don’t forget to encourage and clap for each other.
Have fun.

Time to write and colour!

1. Make a small card like 
   this.

2. Decorate the border
    the way you wish to,
    using colour pencils
    and crayons.

3. Fill up the blanks.
Practice introducing yourself at home.
