 Elocution Holiday Homework
Week 1 Activity - Toon time! –
Speak about your favourite cartoon character.
We all have our favourite cartoon characters. It’s time to speak about your favourite character from the cartoons you watch on television or the books you read. 
Tips to do the activity
1.      Think about your favourite cartoon character.
2.    Describe him/her/it…
-             How he/she/it looks...? 
-             What he/she/it does...?
-             Where did you get to know about him/her/it...? 
3.    Think of the reasons why you like him/her/it..?
4.    Take help from your parents to write about your favourite cartoon character. (6-8 sentences). 
5.    You are ready to speak!
6.    You may make a small drawing or use a prop. 
7.    Request your parents to record the same if you wish! 

Week 2 Activity - Out of the bag! -
Show and Tell!!
 
It’s Showtime!
It’s time to choose any of your favourite objects and talk about it!
Tips to do the activity
1.      Choose any object of your choice.
2.    It could be anything you eat/ drink/ wear/ use etc.
3.    Think what you would talk about your chosen object...
4.    How it looks...? shape/ colour/ size/ etc. 
5.    How it is used/ eaten etc.
6.    Interesting facts about the chosen object.
7.    So it’s Showtime! 
8.    Go ahead...Show and Tell!!
9.    Request your parents to record the same if you wish!

Week 3 Activity  - Picture Reading -
‘Let the picture talk!!’

Tips to do the activity
1.      Look carefully at the picture above.
2.    Take note of all that you see and write 6-7 sentences. 
3.    Describe the picture and all that you can see happening there. 
4.    Give names to the things/characters etc. you see and you may make a short story out of it as well.
5.    Request your parents to record the same if you wish!

Week 4 Activity  - Tooty fruity! – 
Role play activity
Tips to do the activity
1.      Choose a fruit of your choice. 
2.    Get ready to present a short Role Play as if you are an apple or a banana, etc. 
3.    Describe your shape/ colour/ size etc.
4.    Tell everyone how you are good for health. 
5.    Have fun as you present the Role Play to your family members. 

Week 5 Activity  - Simon says...!’ –
Game Activity
 
Tips to do the activity
1.      Get ready to play a fun game with your family members.
2.    It’s an action game where one person (your mother or father) is ‘Simon’. 
3.    Simon gives instructions which all others will follow.
4.    The one who doesn’t is out of the game.

 From the time the sun rises, till noon  
  
we greet by saying "Good Morning".
 After 12 noon we wish each other 
  
"Good Afternoon". 
  

When the sun is about to set we wish 
  
each other "Good Evening".
  
Let's listen to an interesting rhyme
